On the left hand side select User Control.Enter the administrator password and select login. In the upper right corner select Login.Enter the IP address of the MFP in a web browser. If you want to keep it simple and only protect the copy function Will outlined the steps. I was, however, looking to password-protect the COPY function, not the printing as you described. Other wise your not setting any hard limits and just tracking what people actually use. for example if you want bob to have 25 copies and 500 prints and Jane to have 50 copies 100 prints, you would set up to different limit groups and select the appropriate one when creating the user. Note 2: Page limit lists are where you can set count limits. As an additional 'what were they thinking?' if you have that checked and a user sends a print job without credentials the machine will look find no credentials and just throw the job away without notifying anyone (at least on previous models). If it is checked it will require a code to print. Note under default settings there is a selection called "Disabling of Printing by Invalid User", if this is unchecked everyone can print to the device regardless of if they have a password or not. Go to User List to create your users, then Default Settings to Enable it. Once you have logged in there is a button on the Left Corner Called User Control.
